Ashley Goff Inducted into Heidelberg's Business Honorary

Ashley Goff of Plain city, OH, is among 12 students from Heidelberg University recently inducted into Tau Pi Phi, the national business honorary. Goff is a junior majoring in accounting.

The students were inducted during a ceremony April 4 on campus. To qualify, students must have completed 20 hours in the School of Business and maintain a 3.0 or higher grade-point average.

Tau Pi Phi, in its 40th year at Heidelberg, recognizes and honors students for high academic achievement in business administration, accounting and economics. The honorary encourages the highest ethical canons in business and fosters the social nature of business. Its threefold ideals are: industry and fidelity; intelligence and science; and prosperity and service.

During Heidelberg's induction, students heard from 1980 alumnus Jerry Ross, executive director of the Disney Entrepreneur Center in Orlando, Fla., who spoke about the creativity and innovation needed to succeed in the business world. Ross spent the week on campus as tne inaugural Entrepreneur-in-Residence with the School of Business.

Heidelberg, founded in 1850, offers 36 courses of study in 19 major fields of concentration, awarding the bachelor of arts, bachelor of science, bachelor of music, as well as master's degrees in education, counseling, business administration and music.
