Candice Brothers Honored with Heidelberg University Award

Candice Brothers of Willoughby, OH, was among about 60 students honored April 27 at Heidelberg University's annual Student Awards Celebration.

Brothers, a senior majoring in Environmental Science, received the Dr. A.G. McQuate Award in Field Biology during Heidelberg's celebration of academic, athletic, service and leadership achievements among individual students, student organizations and faculty members.

During the celebration, the students also presented the Faculty Member of the Year Award to Dr. Courtney DeMayo, assistant professor of history.

Graduating senior Nicholas Dyer was selected to give the address during the celebration. He titled his remarks "Congratulations and Beyond."

Heidelberg, founded in 1850, offers 36 courses of study in 19 major fields of concentration, awarding the bachelor of arts, bachelor of science, bachelor of music, as well as master's degrees in education, counseling, business administration and music.
