Christine Bowling to play softball at Heidelberg University

Troy native Christine Bowling has announced that she will continue her academic and athletic careers at Heidelberg University. While enrolled at Heidelberg, Bowling plans to major in business administration.

Bowling will join fifth-year head coach Betsy Hada and the softball team in the fall of 2013.

While at Miami East High School, Bowling was inducted into the National Honor Society.

Christine has enjoyed success in softball, basketball and volleyball for the Vikings. Bowling is the vice president of the senior class. In addition, she is active with the Muse Machine.

Bowling is the daughter of Warner and Lori Bowling of Troy.

Under Hada's direction, Heidelberg softball has been on an upward trend. The Student Princes have eclipsed the 15-win plateau in each of the past three seasons.

In the classroom, Hada's team had the seventh highest team grade point average among NCAA Division III schools across the nation.
