Christopher Durigg Touring with Heidelberg University Concert Choir

Christopher Durigg of Bycurus, OH, is among the 31 members of the Heidelberg University Concert Choir preparing to embark upon the annual spring tour, traveling this year to the East Coast and New England for a series of performances May 14-17.

The Concert Choir, under the direction of Dr. Greg Ramsdell, assistant professor of and director of choral activities, is the premiere mixed choral ensemble of the university's School of Music. For this year's tour, Durigg, a senior majoring in music, the choir will perform in Fairport, N.Y.; Keene, N.H.; Webster, Mass.; New York City and Princeton, N.J.

Comprised of a diverse cross-section of majors at Heidelberg, the Concert Choir will perform an eclectic program of choral literature representing major choral genres, historical eras and cultural traditions. The theme is "To Everything There is a Season." Piano accompanist is Cynthia Ramsdell.

Dr. Greg Ramsdell is in his first year as the choir's conductor. In addition to his conducting responsibilities, he teaches undergraduate courses in conducting and secondary choral methods. He also teaches graduate courses in curriculum development, research in music education and music theory.
