Gregory Marsano to present research at Heidelberg's 'Minds@Work' conference

2015 Feb 18

Gregory Marsano of Crestline, Ohio, is among a record number of students who will present their research Feb. 19 as part of Heidelberg University's 22th annual "Minds@Work" Student Research Conference.

Working with faculty mentor(s) Dr. Amy Berger, Marsano, a senior majoring in Philosophy and Environmental Science, will present "Sediment Size Analysis of the Sandusky River Headwaters".

Heidelberg hosts the Student Research Conference annually each spring semester as a way to increase student interest and knowledge in academic research and scholarship. The event is designed to recognize, honor and reward academic excellence and give students an opportunity to experience the conference format of academic inquiry. Earlier this month, 21 faculty members presented their research to demonstrate the conference format and model presentation skills for students.

The keynote speaker this year is noted sports psychologist Dr. Dan Gould, director of the Institute for the Study of Youth Sports and professor of kinesiology at Michigan State University.
