Heidelberg honors Maureen Kelly as scholar-athlete

Heidelberg University presented Landess Scholar-Athlete Awards to 148 students at halftime of the men's basketball game Feb. 18.

Maureen Kelly (women's soccer), a freshman Communication and Business Administration major from Gahanna, Ohio, was among the students honored for their achievements in the classroom as well as on the athletic field for the fall semester.

The Landess Awards were created by William Landess, a 1995 Heidelberg alumnus and member of the university's Board of Trustees, to honor student-athletes who achieve a minimum 3.0 GPA during their semester of competition.
