Heidelberg's Victoria Johnson attends national chemistry conference

Eight students from Heidelberg University's Chemistry Club represented the university at the annual American Chemical Society national conference in San Diego earlier this month.

While at the conference, several of the students presented their research during poster sessions. Heidelberg students also participated in a "demo exchange" during which they conducted an experiment on stage.

The highlight was the annual ACS awards ceremony. Senior Lily White accepted two awards on behalf of the Heidelberg chapter: a Green Chemistry Award and an Outstanding Award, the highest honor that a student chapter of ACS can receive.
