Holli Burns to Present Capstone Honors Project at Heidelberg University

2012 Nov 30

Heidelberg University student Holli Burns of Springfield, Ohio, is preparing to present her senior Honors project next week.

During their final year, students enrolled in "The Life of the Mind" Honors Program at Heidelberg complete a senior honors project with a faculty mentor of their choice. This project usually derives from a student's major field and individualizes and deepens a student's understanding of a topic of compelling interest in her or his major.

Burns, who is majoring in psychology, will present on "Perception of Gender in Children Grades 1-5".

Founded in 1850, Heidelberg offers 36 courses of study in 19 major fields of concentration, awarding the bachelor of arts, bachelor of science, bachelor of music, as well as master's degrees in education, counseling, business administration and music. Affiliated with the United Church of Christ, Heidelberg has been ranked for 25 consecutive years as one of the top colleges in the Midwest by U.S. News and World Report.
