Laura Van Valkenburgh Performing with Heidelberg U. Symphonic Band

Laura Van Valkenburgh, a senior from North Royalton, Ohio, is performing this year with the Heidelberg University Symphonic Band.

Van Valkenburgh, who plays the clarinet, is one of 42 band members selected by audition to play campus concerts, festival, convention and tour concerts. The band's literature is chosen from standard and contemporary band repertoire, utilizing various instrumental combinations. The director is Dr. John E. Owen, professor of trumpet, director of Heidelberg School of Music and director of bands.
