Leah Boileau raises funds as Heidelberg University student caller

2013 Oct 14

Leah Boileau of Dearborn, Mich., is among a group of Heidelberg University students reaching out to alumni and friends to raise funds for The Heidelberg Fund. Boileau is a senior majoring in Business Administration and Spanish.

The group of 22 students are members of the phonathon team that makes calls on behalf of the university's annual fund. The phonathon callers, under the direction of the Anna Brodman, assistant director of alumni engagement and annual giving, have a goal to reach $160,000 in pledges this year.

The Phonathon employs 20-25 student callers each year who range from freshmen to seniors with various majors and extracurricular activities. These callers look forward to sharing their current Heidelberg experiences, hearing about the experiences of alumni they reach through the phonathon and asking for financial support of The Heidelberg Fund. Dollars raised through the phonathon are directed to support student financial aid and services.

Founded in 1850, Heidelberg offers 32 majors, 30 minors and 10 pre-professional programs, awarding the bachelor of arts, bachelor of science, bachelor of music degrees , as well as master's degrees in education, counseling, business administration and music.
