Michelle Tamburo Performs in Heidelberg U's Shakespeare Song Fest

Michelle Tamburo of Berlin Heights, Ohio, recently performed in the cast of "The Beguiling Bard: A Shakespeare Song Festival."

Directed by Dr. Carol Dusdieker, assistant professor of voice at Heidelberg, the song festival featured Heidelberg vocal students who performed settings of excerpts from Shakespeare's plays and sonnets. The pieces were set in a variety of styles, including art songs by Thomas Arne, Roger Quilter and Franz Schubert, as well as pieces from Leonard Bernstein's "West Side Story" and Cole Porter's "Kiss Me Kate."

Tamburo, a senior majoring in Music, sang the soprano part of "Dirge".
