Stacey Hartley to appear in upcoming play at Heidelberg University

2012 Nov 14

Stacey Hartley of Bellevue, Ohio, has been cast in Heidelberg University Theatre's upcoming production of the dark comedy, "Dead Man's Cell Phone."

The play follows Jean, the main character, who, while in a care, picks up a ringing cell phone only to discover the man who owned it is -- as the title suggests -- dead. Jean decides to keep the phone in order to keep the man allive in a strange and significant way. Her discoveries about his life surprise her, and not in a good way. What happens when you try to fix the mistakes of someone you've never met? Jean's imaginative reinvention of his character ultimately brings peace to the man's family.

Hartley, a freshman majoring in biology and political science is cast in the role of Hermie. Chris Tucci, assistant professor of theatre, is directing.

Show dates for "Dead Man's Cell Phone" are Nov. 15-18. For ticket information, call the Gundlach Theatre box office at 419-448-2305.
