Tessa Benanzer Honored with Heidelberg University Award

Tessa Benanzer of Fort Loramie, OH, was among about 60 students honored April 27 at Heidelberg University's annual Student Awards Celebration.

Benanzer, a sophomore majoring in Biology, received the Beta Beta Beta Outstanding Freshman Award in Biology and the CRC Fresman Chemistry Achievement Award during Heidelberg's celebration of academic, athletic, service and leadership achievements among individual students, student organizations and faculty members.

During the celebration, the students also presented the Faculty Member of the Year Award to Dr. Courtney DeMayo, assistant professor of history.

Graduating senior Nicholas Dyer was selected to give the address during the celebration. He titled his remarks "Congratulations and Beyond."
